Kirsten Anne Powers, who was born on 14 December, 1967 is an American author, columnist, and political analyst.   She is currently a writer for USA Today and an on-air analyst for CNN.   The Washington Post called her "bright-eyed, sharp-tongued, [andfiercely combative".   The New Republic noted Powers "held her own in every debate" at Fox News and quoted columnist Erik Wemple, who called her "a ferocious advocate for her views".   Prior to CNN, Powers worked at Fox News as a political analyst and contributor.
