Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born 25th August, 1949) is an American TV chef who is a popular personality. She was also an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on Food Network. Food Network. Anne Burrell, with her famous spiky blonde hair and an energised persona on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, shares straightforward and simple techniques for home cooks. Chef Burrell is also an experienced chef of New York City's best restaurants. Additionally, she has studied Italy's culinary tradition and the culture of Italy, and the surrounding environment. Burrell was born living in New York State's Upstate, began to develop a passion for cooking. She pursued her passion for food and restaurant by enroling at The Culinary Institute of America following her graduation in English and Communication from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was the place where I experienced the most fun time of my life. I was never able to be more educated or accomplished in my studies. When I graduated at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners Chef Burrell spent an entire year in Italy learning and working in La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star in Tuscany. In Italy she acquired an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian food. It made a huge influence on her perception of food. Burrell was a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens the lives of children facing challenges. She is also an Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador, where she is an advocate for juvenile diabetes awareness. In her capacity as an inspirational speaker, she makes trips across the country to share her passion for food as well as her career in the culinary field. Anne always felt fortunate that she could share the passion of sharing her cooking skills with other people.
